I am often told that I′m one of the fortunate few who finds complete satisfaction, inspiration and fulfillment in her work. And I agree! I am passionate about my profession. I love practicing dentistry.
But my enthusiasm is not limited to the science of dentistry. It′s about what I can do for people. how it can enhance their appearance and ultimately change their life. I′ve seen it happen time and again and it never fails to overwhelm me.
Even while in dental school. I knew dentistry was about more than simply fixing
teeth. I felt that dentistry, when done correctly, could enhance health and the smile. If Teeth are crooked, stained, worn or chipped, if there are gaps between them... if the smile is too gummy... it can affect confidence and self-esteem. But the problems can go beyond appearance and cause many health-related problems, including chronic pain.
The solution to all of these problems is often a rejuvenated smile. One that is straight, white and attractive...one that is healthy and strong can boost confidence, enhance self-esteem and give a more youthful appearance. Better yet, one that can eliminate pain and improve health. The right dentistry can help a patient look better and feel better than ever.
From my first experiences in dental school through today, I believe in practicing the dentistry that is in my patients' best interest, the best interest of their health as well as their appearance. Even when I was taught to place silver amalgams, I questioned placing mercury in patients' teeth. I am dead set against filling a tooth with a poison and practice only mercury-free dentistry. I only use other metals in dentistry when it′s absolutely necessary.
I also realized I wasn′t going to learn how to practice the best
dentistry in denial school. So I sought opportunities for further education. After exhaustive research and extensive post-graduate training, I discovered the Las Vegas Institute for Advanced Dental Studies (LVI), the world-renowned educational center for aesthetic and neuromuscular dentistry.
After one course, I was hooked. The techniques, theories and technologies made sense. I have successfully completed the entire curriculum offered at LVI and now have a level of training that less than 1 percent of practicing dentists have attained.
Today, with my advanced training, my incredible team and state-of-the-art practice, I create smiles of health and beauty. Smiles that change lives. Now I let patients know that when it comes to dentistry, they have choices ... and they have the right to choose the dentistry that is in the best interest of their health and appearance. I share what I believe .. and welcome them to make their own decisions.
