Inlays/Onlays

Sometimes our gorgeous composite cavity fillings just aren’t enough to repair a damaged or decayed tooth – but there isn’t quite enough damage to require a full crown. That’s when porcelain inlays or onlays come to the rescue. Some people describe these Doylestown porcelain dental restorations as partial crowns. We just call them beautiful! Inlays are used to treat damage to your dentin inside the cusps or points of your teeth. Onlays cover part of the tooth, including one or more cusps. Inlays and onlays are perfect for:

  • Replacing old or damaged metal fillings
  • Repairing a large cavity
  • Restoring a tooth that has been damaged or broken
  • Strengthening weak or asymmetrical teeth

Much like a dental crown, inlays and onlays are custom fabricated just for you in our world-class lab or right here in our Bucks County dental office with CEREC CAD/CAM technology. Either way, your smile will be repaired for strength; natural appearance; and balance for your bite, face, and smile.
